Paix et sécurité sur la terre

Alors que des soi-disant mouvements mystiques et théosophiques connaissent une croissance exponentielle, chacun croyant et affirmant fortement détenir le monopole de la vérité absolue lutte pour sa survie. Faisant l’éloge de la toute sagesse, chacun dénonce et condamne son prochain; les opinions et les jugements se radicalisent. Méfiance et scepticisme sont maintenant installés dans les mœurs de toutes les populations de tous les pays de la terre. Tous et chacun remettent en question les motivations véritables de leurs dirigeants politiques et religieux. Les uns se radicalisent, les autres se révoltent et certains, en désespoir de cause, se soumettent et se résignent. Dans un tel climat de violences sociales, d’injustices et de guerres, que l’on m’explique ce que peut bien être et signifier l’amour de son prochain.

Peace and security in the world

When considering the actual living conditions of present day civilizations from the standpoint of even the most elementary political and religious commands, one is bound to experience a feeling of deep and painful disappointment at what one sees. For a while religion prescribes brotherly love in all relations among individuals and groups. The actual spectacle more resembles a battlefield than an orchestra. Everywhere, destroying all feelings of human fraternity and cooperation, the guiding principle is one of ruthless striving for success at the expense of one’s fellow men thus creating, in each one of us, either one or the other: daring ambition, fear of rejection, desperation and submission. There are some to hold that such a state of affairs is necessarily inherent in human nature. It is those who propound such views that are the true enemies of all mankind,
for they imply thereby that justice for all is a utopian ideal.
